Method of application:

Bed preparation: remove dust, dirt, rust and loose elements. Metal surfaces should be additionally degreased (e.g. with extraction naphtha). Moisten the prepared surface with water and prime with THERMOHIT®. Before applying, mix the mass thoroughly by hand or with an electric stirrer at a speed not exceeding 180 rpm (NOTE! Exceeding the recommended speed may result in the destruction of the structure of the product, and thus loss of its thermal insulation properties).

THERMOHIT® can be applied by: brush, roller, spatula, metal trowel or spray. Depending on the method of application the preparation can be diluted by adding up to 10% of pure water. Apply in layers with a thickness of about 0.5 mm. The next layer can be applied after the previous one is completely dry and the surface is humidified.

Optimal insulating properties are obtained with a coating thickness of about 1.0 mm. With recommended coating the heat loss is reduced by about 30 %.
